My cousin Delores Holmes, myself, and my Aunt Loretta Phillips, two awesome vocalists. This picture is from Tim McLoone's Supper Club in Asbury Park, NJ in Winter 2010, and was the last time I got to hear Delores sing before her passing the following April. I miss you so much Dee!
Delores, her daughter Layonne, and Aunt Loretta participated in the Tribute to the Rescue and Recovery Workers of 9/11 held at the Beacon Theatre in New York City 9 months after September 11th and the completion of the recovery operation. They performed with an all-star band and along with vocalists Phoebe Snow, Beth Nielsen Chapman, and Bar Scott. Additionally Dee and Layonne were among the singers backing Bruce Springsteen on the post-9/11 A Tribute To Heroes telethon.
